Lyon Partners runs a small, high-performance team across multiple time zones. Operations Assistants are the connective tissue that keeps it humming. You build the weekly engagement-team shift schedule, onboard new hires, maintain our internal playbooks and dashboards, generate weekly pod reports, and handle the freelance-admin work (contracts, time-off, equipment) that keeps the rest of the operation focused on creator outcomes. The role is remote, full-time, and runs on the rhythm of the team you support.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the weekly engagement-team shift schedule across Kenya and PH time zones, ensuring 24/7 inbox coverage on the 4-days-on, 4-days-off rotation.
- Run new-hire onboarding logistics: contracts, equipment provisioning, access management, first-week orientation.
- Generate weekly pod-performance reports for team leads and the founder; flag anomalies before they become issues.
- Maintain internal playbooks, SOPs, and process documentation in our knowledge base.
- Coordinate freelance-admin: time-off requests, contractor invoicing questions, monthly settlements.
- Take initiative on operational improvements; if you see a process that wastes time, propose the fix and own the rollout.
Requirements
- 2+ years of operations, executive-assistant, or coordinator experience, ideally in a remote-first organization.
- Native-level written English; you communicate clearly across multiple stakeholders without losing nuance.
- Comfortable with spreadsheets, scheduling tools, and modern team-chat software (Notion, Slack, Linear, or equivalents).
- Self-directed and detail-obsessed; you don't need a manager to tell you the next thing that needs doing.
- Reliable internet, quiet workspace, and the maturity to handle a mature-content creator portfolio with professionalism and zero judgment.
What we offer
- Top-of-market compensation, salaried in USD.
- Direct working relationship with the founder; your operational improvements ship the same week.
- Clear path into Operations Lead and broader ops leadership as the company scales.
- Remote-first; choose where you work from as long as the internet is reliable.
- Paid time off, monthly wellness stipend, and in-person team offsite once per year.
